watching...Right now, Josh and I are involved in three shows together: Weeds, United States of Tara (I have already watched), and Under the Dome. By myself I've been watching Pretty Little Liars. Currently two episodes behind, though! Hulu totally ruined my life (not dramatic at all) and only keeps one episode up at time now. Sigh.
drinking...Coffee. Typical Lyds. I've also really been trying to up my water intake, though, since I'm workin' on my health + fitness and all.
signing up for...Mommy + Me gymnastics and dance with Tatum. We actually start gymnastics this Saturday. To say that I'm excited would be such an understatement. It's not just the classes that I'm excited about, but also the alone time that I will get with my girl. That has been a bit limited since Sully arrived, and I know we could both really use some "just us girls" time. (Also excited to see her in a leotard, because duh.)
teaching...Homeschool preschool? I found a local "Tot School" group and decided to join. It's embarrassing for me to admit, but I feel like I haven't been doing my job as Tatum's parent, teaching her the things she needs to learn. Finding this group was a good "kick in the pants" for me, I think. I've been all about researching different methods, finding printouts, etc., this week. I know homeschool isn't for everyone...Heck, it might not be for us, either! But I'm willing (and excited!) to give it a shot. Do you homeschool? Have you thought about it? Are you anti-homeschool? (Oy, with the poodles already! That's a lotta questions. Bonus points if you caught the reference.)
wearing...I've been been breaking out my MBMJ dog loafers the past week or so. They aren't really a summer shoe, but fall is thiiiiis close, and I just can't resist!
eating...Meh. In my journey towards living a healthier lifestyle, my diet still has a load of room for improvement. I usually do really great during the day, but once the kids are in bed, and Josh and I are having our downtime, things tend to go downhill. I'm doing better everyday, though.
enjoying...Exercise! I'm on my longest streak ever (outside of gym class in high school) of consistent workouts and I feel really great. Mostly just in a "proud of myself" kind of way, but I do feel myself getting stronger and building endurance. *Pat, pat!* (That was me patting myself on the back, obviously.) I'm currently doing the C25K running program. Have you ever done it?
thrilled...to be heading back home to visit our families this weekend! My younger sister got her GED and my parents are hosting a "graduation" party for her on Sunday. Yay, Hannah! On Monday we will be heading to Josh's parents' house, where I fully intend on trying to hold one of the kittens that was born in their backyard about 8 weeks ago. Cross your fingers for me, guys.
listening...to Bahamas. Have you guys? So. Good. I know I'm a little late to the game, so you're probably like, "Old news, loser." But on the off chance that this is not the case, give a listen! "Lost in the Light" is my favorite.
excited...for fall shows to premiere. Parenthood, HIMYM...Get here now!
reading...I'm hosting book club (oh my gosh, I totally accidentally typed "boob" at first. Good thing I noticed! Phew.) this month, and my pick was "The Light Between Oceans." I've read a chapter so far. We meet the 29th. I need to get on the ball! I plan to do a lot of reading on our road trip this weekend.
laughing...at The Office. I've been rewatching the series again here + there. Today I was watching an episode from season five and laughed so many times. It really was such a funny show. (Saying "was" felt weird and sad.)
feeling...tired! It is 7:30 AM here right now, and I have been up since 2:30! Why, body, why?
believing...in myself. Some days are tougher than others, but I'm working hard at not letting the negative in, not letting myself get me down.
loving...my babes. They're just the best. Tatum's latest thing is closing doors. If you ever come over, when you go to leave, BE CAREFUL. Because if I say, "Don't let the door hit you on the way out!" I mean that quite literally. But it's just so cute, ya know? She will shut the door and yell, "I did it!" A couple of days ago when Josh left for work, he shut the door before she could, but she still ran over and touched it and yelled, "I did it!" Love. And Sullivan...Man, I have major heart eyes for that boy. I am convinced he is the most beautiful baby on the planet. I'm not even sure if he had an "awkward stage." (I will revisit this thought in about a year.) He is all smiles, all the time, and I know this won't really make sense, but they are just so genuine. Like, it doesn't just feel like a normal baby smile. It's so cheesy, but I feel like he is just going to be the most wonderful, kind little boy someday.
*Thanks to Chelsea of Tea Talk + Elisa Blaha Cripe for the fun post idea!
