Fitness Update!

Today is DAY 4 of my fitness challenge!
And I'm blogging with a confession. :(
I did not work out today...
And that's actually why I'm blogging right now.
I had to get it off my chest and be honest.
Not that I would have lied at a later date, ha.
I just really wanted to talk about the past couple of days!
And this felt like a good time.
-----

DAY ONE:
On day one I did a Self workout video on Hulu.
It definitely wasn't easy for me.
Hello, I threw up! Ew.
But I was totally working it, and I love that.

-----

DAY TWO:
On day two I decided to do an outside workout.
I did some standing pushups, lunges, squats, standing ab workout, and I also decided to start the C25K program. I'm really excited about that!
After working out for about 30 minutes, I went inside to pee and I started pretty much hallucinating.
So I decided to cool off and do some stuff in the pool to complete my workout.
Just some swimming!

(pre-pool, post hallucinations.)
-----

DAY THREE:
On day three I did another outside workout.
I basically did the same thing again.
Only I was on day two of my C25K program and I did more ab workouts.
I have a really hard time meeting the hour workout mark.
I think part of it might have to do with this heart condition (not major) that I have.
I'm not trying to make excuses here, guys.
When I work out hard my heart rate pushes 190. I start to feel really sick and distressed.
This is really, really frustrating for me.
Because I want to work out long and good, but at the same time I'm afraid of getting hurt.
Does anyone have any tips?

I promise I worked out on day three! But I forgot to take a picture.
It was about an hour after when I said, "OH NO."
But I did workout!
-----

DAY FOUR:
However, today...I did not.
No excuses!
I was just lazy.
I didn't get up early and go run like I wanted to.
I didn't want to do another outside workout later in the morning.
When I went to visit my family I didn't want to do my 30 Day Shred DVD because I wanted to visit.
And now it's almost midnight!
This is such a bummer for me, but I refuse to let it become a habit.
Never before have I felt like this when I didn't workout.
I feel like I have this commitment, and it feels wrong that I didn't.
Not in a bad, guilty way...It's like, I feel like I missed out on something.
I like that!
And that's motivating to me.

If you're working on the 30 Day Fitness Challenge, how are you doing?
Keep it up, ladies!
xo.

  1. great job lydia!
my advice for you is to not push yourself... if you're not feeling well after ten min, twenty, thirty, however long... then stop. do another thirty min at a later time. i usually do an hour in the afternoon and then an hour at night. your health comes first and you know your limits... work up to it and maybe ask your doctor what his advice would be.
    you can do it!
    yay for us :)

  3. Awesome job Lydia! Hey it's okay if you miss a day here or there. What matters is you are doing something consistently!! And don't worry about meeting the hour goal if you're not feeling up to it! At least you ARE doing something good for you that day and you're sticking to it! Keep up the great work sweetpea!! I'm on day 5 right now and boy I did NOT feel like it today but... I popped in Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 and ran on the treadmill. I was proud of myself haha

  5. WOW! Impressive! I think you made the smart decision to give yourself a day off today - it sounds like you've been kicking butt! Just make sure to drink lots of water and rest whenever you need to!
