Tatum Auden: 10 Months.

It's been awhile since I posted one of Tatum's monthly updates. I'm honestly not sure how long...4 months? She has been so hard to take pictures of the past few months, hence there being just one photo for this post. All she wants is to behind the camera or under my feet. So, that up there? Lucky shot.

Here's a quick rundown...

7 months --- First steps, two bottom teeth.
8 months --- Walking, sleeping in crib.
9 months --- Four upper teeth.

She's getting so smart and even more awesome. Josh and I were talking about her the other day and we both agreed that we love her even more these days, and we're not sure how that's even possible. She's just so funny!

The other day I was laying on the couch, reciting one of her books to her, and she went over to her book pile, picked it up, and brought it over to me. Personally, I'm choosing to think this was not a coincidence. She's pretty familiar with the book now. When I'm reading it she knows what part comes next...it's pretty cool.

She knows quite a few words now.
She's incredibly stubborn.
She loves all foods.
She's still very easy going.
She still doesn't sleep through the night.

Oh, and she's getting quite a bit of hair.

At her doctor appointment the other day she weighed in at 18 lbs. 9.5 oz. and measured at 29 + 1/4 inches.

I can't believe we only have two months left. TWO.
Pass the tissues.

Tatum Auden: 6 Months.

Height: 27 inches.
Weight: 15.5 lbs.
Head: 17 inches.
I like...

+ Doing my own thing. Can't hold me down!
+ Dora the Explorer.
I don't like...

+ Being left alone. Even if I can still see Mom, Dad, or whoever is supposed to be hanging with me, if they're in a different room I am not a happy camper usually.
+ Diaper changes.
+ Getting dressed.

I can...

+ sit up on my own, put myself in a sitting position.
+ crawl on my knees.
+ pull to standing.
+ stand alone for a few seconds at a time (sometimes!).
+ walk along the furniture.
+ say: Mama, Dada, Baba, Nana. I don't know what they mean, but people seem to enjoy me talking.
I eat...

+ lots of different fruit/vegetable purees.
+ yogurt melts.
+ puffs.
+ starting self-feeding some foods (like steamed broccoli) today!

She is more + more awesome every single day.

Tatum Auden: 5 Months Old.

Height: 26 inches.
Weight: 15.1 pounds.
Head: Big.

I like...

-my dad. I like my mom too, but Dad is just really funny and makes me laugh all the dang time.
-cords. In fact, I love them. Mom tells me everyday, "You're not a guinea pig, you're a girl!"
-using things that aren't real toys as my toys, instead of the actual toys my parents buy me.
(phone cases, water bottles)
-bath time. Yay, cleanliness! I'm pretty slobbery and gross, so it's a good thing I enjoy baths.
-story time with Mom.

I don't like...

-being bored. I hate it. Keep me entertained, and you're golden.

Accomplishments...

-I'm done with physical therapy for my head. I have mild brachycephaly, but the doctor says it's nothing worth worrying over and to just keep sleeping on my sides to help it. I don't need a helmet and worst case, I'll have a big dome. It's okay, I'll own it.

I can...

-seal crawl/scoot/backwards scoot. I'm all over the place these days.
-do yoga. I love downward facing dog!
-sit up on my own a bit. Sometimes I'm still a little lazy about it, but I'll get there. Right now, I like the half sit position the best.

Eating...

-We still haven't done the whole solids thing. We're probably going to introduce some this week. YUM.

I'm awesome. The End.

Tatum Auden: 4 Months.

{just don't mess with me, okay?}

Height: 25.5 inches.
Weight: 13.3 lbs.
Head: 16.6 inches.

I can...

-roll in both directions now. I started rolling belly to back at 2 months and back to belly at 3.5.

-yell! And I do it at all the time. Taking me places like the post office can get a bit awkward...

-smile and laugh in reaction to people. It's Smile City over here.

-scoot. I don't do it much, but when I do, I can get a couple of feet in my dust.

I like...

-playing Airplane.

-visiting my family.

-my toys, but only in very small doses.

-being on my belly. It's virtually impossible to keep me on my back these days.

-chewing on stuff!

I don't like...

-when people make me wait.

-playing with my toys for more than about 10 minutes.

{I know people hate me for this, but there isn't much that the kid doesn't like. And she seriously cries for maybe 10 minutes a day.}

The First Ouchie

A couple of days ago, Mom put me on my rocking caterpillar toy for the first time. It was awesome. And then not so awesome when she let go for .00021 seconds and I started to fall off, sideways. Luckily, she grabbed my arm for part of the fall, so my landing wasn't too traumatic.
I may have still cried, though...

Eating...

My doctor says I can start eating a little bit of food here + there!
Mom + Dad let me try some oatmeal the other night, but we're not sure about it.
We're rethinking things and might just eat veggies and the occasional fruit for now.

See ya next month, guys!

Love, Tatum

happy four months.

My little bean (string, vanilla, green, burrito...you name it, she is referred to as every variety these days) is four months old* today.
It's crazy how it feels like it hasn't been that long at all, yet it feels like she's been here forever.

She is growing so, so big. Learning something new every day.
It's exciting to watch her grow. Even if at times it does give me a slight sting in the heart.

I love you so much, T.
I am so proud to be your Mama.

*developmental update will be posted on the 21st, after her doctor appt.

0 months to 3 months // Baby Monster

YOU GUYS. Check out my baby big head! I love her. Even if, when we're in the middle of an obviously important photo shoot, she pulls my hair and makes this happen:

She's obviously not sorry about it, either. Just look at that face...There's a reason we call her Baby Monster.
