stargirl // moodboard.

// 1. // 2. // 3. // 4. // 5. // 6. //

She was elusive. She was today. She was tomorrow.
She was the faintest scent of a cactus flower, the flitting shadow of an elf owl.
We did not know what to make of her.
In our minds we tried to pin her to corkboard like a butterfly,
but the pin merely went through
and away she flew.

A couple of nights ago I saw the book, "Stargirl", at the bookstore. I'd never read it before (behind the times, I know!), so I figured, "Why not?"

I read it that night. In two hours, no less.

It made me feel a lot. And that's what I really like in a book.
"Stargirl" was heartbreaking, beautiful, inspiring, sweet, charming, annoying, frustrating, funny.

Stargirl is an interesting girl. At times, I wanted to be like her. At other times, I felt embarrassed for her. And sometimes, I felt just like her. Occasionally I didn't like her, mostly I felt sorry for her.

This may possibly be the absolute worst "book review" of all time. My apologies, but this is honestly the best way I know how to describe this book, this character for you. You'll just have to read for yourself.

No doubt, I have never met anyone quite like Stargirl...
