summer reading list.

I've seen a lot of bloggers posting their summer reading lists lately, so I thought I'd join in on the fun. I actually got a few of my ideas for my own list from a couple of these bloggers. (Thanks, ladies!)

I've always been a reader. Always.
One of my favorite childhood photos is a picture of me asleep in bed with a book literally on top of my face.
To be honest, I never really understood (still don't) people who don't like to read. I don't mean that in a pretentious, I'm-better-than-you kind of way...I genuinely just don't get it.
For awhile since having Tatum I hadn't really been reading much, but a couple of months ago I dove back in, and I'm fairly certain I'll never turn back again.

The only one of these books I've actually finished is "Bringing Up Bebe." It was pretty interesting to me. There are lots of mixed reviews on it, but I wanted to read and decide for myself. While I do think some of it is kind of "eye roll worthy", I actually did enjoy it, and I think it caused to me think a lot about the type of parent that I want to be.

As for the rest of the books, I'm currently reading/almost finished with "MWF Seeking BFF", "Her Fearful Symmetry", and "The Miseducation of Cameron Post."
Still need to start "The Fault in Our Stars" and "Signs of Life." But I've got a good feeling I'll get them all done before the end of summer!

What's on your current reading list?
If you don't like reading, what about it don't you like?

  1. Bringing up Bebe is actually on my list. I haven't gotten around to it yet. I am currently reading the latest edition of Kinfolk and listening to The Book Thief on tape.

  2. I've been wanting to read The Fault In Our Stars but haven't gotten to it yet. I loved Her Fearful Symmetry and I'm thinking about reading it again because I feel like there is stuff I missed the first time. I'll have to check out these other books as well. I'm always looking for book recommendations! :)
