i'm getting old.

When I was little I would spend a lot of time at my Grandma and Grandpa's house. They lived right next door. So convenient. And I remember I liked to get into my grandma's hair, nail, and makeup supplies...a lot. Once, I temporarily dyed a piece of my hair grey with some sort of product she kept in her medicine cabinet. Another time, I was caught fake smoking, because the lipstick evidence on a cigarette I'd put back into the carton was just too damning. Although, there was one product I'd just never touch. And that was old lady nail polish. You totally know what color I'm talking about. It's that pinkish-brown color...Yes, that one.

Josh and I went shopping last night and I was looking for nail polish colors that were fitting for autumn. My eyes stopped on one, THE one. Old Lady Pink. Only it wasn't actually called that. It's called, "So Much Fawn." And maybe it was just the cutesy name that attracted me to it...or maybe I'm all grown up.

  2. It gets worse. After you have kids of your own, you find yourself, seemingly against your will, saying the same things to them that your parents said to you that you swore you'd never say to your kids. It just happens.
