Currently:

Loving: alone time with Josh! Tatum recently moved into her crib (we were bed-sharing, previously), with an earlier bedtime, and now Josh and I are finally spending quality time together again. We basically hadn't been for the past 9 months. Yikes, right? So now, we have a few hours every night totally devoted to spending time with one another. It has been so fun, and I think just what our relationship needed. I won't lie: There had been some struggling lately...But since starting this new routine everything seems to be in tip-top shape, and I think I speak for both of us when I say it's really wonderful.

Reading: MWF Seeking BFF. I know, I know. I'm totally slacking on my summer reading list! Cross your fingers for me that I can meet my goal of finishing my list before summer ends. I'm not so sure I'll make it, but I guess we'll see. Here's hoping!

Watching: Parenthood. This is probably my favorite show on television. I sort of feel like it's the t.v. version of "The Family Stone." (Which is kind of funny because the Grandpa/Dad is the same guy in both.) I'm all caught up on it and ready for the new season, but Josh had never watched it before. So that's one of the things we're doing each night, watching this together. Although it is kind of awkward, because if you know me, I'm a crier...and I cry at least 3 times every single episode. No exaggeration.

Thinking about: So much. Goodness, where do I begin? I've been really struggling lately, in every aspect of my life. It's been so hard. I'm trying to approach every single day with a clear head and a happy heart. So, I guess what I'm thinking about is thinking differently...about myself, who I am, other people, my husband + daughter and the role I play in their lives.

Anticipating: Going to Chicago in a couple of weeks! I'm getting together with some of my favorite people in the world, a few of the ladies from my online mom group. We've been friends for over a year now and I'm so thankful to have them in my life. I honestly can't imagine life without them. There are 116 of us in the group, and about 20 us will be going to the get together. I'm so excited! I've met a few of these ladies already (can't wait to see them again!) and I'll be meeting the rest for the first time (can't wait to meet them!).

Wishing: that our bedroom would paint itself. I sometimes don't mind the task of painting, but I guess I'm just lazy this time around. The room is currently the worst shade of bright green, and I'm taking it to a mustard yellow color. I bought the paint sample tonight and I decided that I really like it, so I'll be picking up the real deal tomorrow, and I guess I'll begin the process. I'm just ready for it to be finished!

Making me happy: Tatum's growing personality. Every day she seems like more of a little person. She is so fun to get to know! I just can't get enough of her.

    1. That's so interesting!
It's crazy how much a new addition can affect a family/couple, but I definitely get it now.
I didn't really think much of it the first few months, but it was hitting us hard recently.
I think we've found our flow now, though. : )
