a lovely, thrifty, family day.

On Saturday I decided to break out the camera and just click away while we were having some family time. And while I was in the middle of doing so, I was like, "Um, why the heck do I never do this?" Seriously. I never really document our life like this.

So, I've decided to make it a point to do so from now on. I don't want to miss out on capturing these little moments.

{she loves this!}

Oh, and talk about sad, I have NO pictures--other than Instagrams--of Tatum and me (since she was born). So, that's another thing I've decided to remedy one day soon. If I don't, I know I'll be so bummed about it later on. And I want her to have pictures of us to look back on someday.

{you guys. i'm totally dying here.}

{seriously? i just can't even handle it...}

Saturday was a fun day together. We went out and did some thrifting (Josh's idea! What the heck?! I love him!). So much awesome stuff was found! It deserves its own post, so I'll save the story on that. And we picked up our new couch! I am in love. With a couch. (You can see a couple of glimpses of her in this post.)

I found her at a local thrift store for only $20! I was beyond excited.
We've been needing a new couch for awhile. We had been sitting on a broken futon on the floor for months. Yes, seriously. (What is my life? Whatever, guys. Just keeping it real!)

We almost didn't get it, though! The guy who was working when we went to pick it up was trying to not give it to us because a woman had bought it the previous week. NO. I was not having that. I told him that rules are rules and they have a 24 hour holding period or they have to sell it. He agreed and she was ours. Phew!

I know all of these pictures are essentially the same, but they were all the best ever and so sweet. So I couldn't choose. I'm sure you'll forgive me. I mean, it's a cute baby! Who cares?!

Speaking of being cute.
I realized recently that I was SO blinded by love when Tatum was born. I mean, she was cute in an old man baby way, but looking back...she was kind of weird looking, God love her.
She's just the cutest ever now, though. Sigh.

Look at that drool! ^ It's all drool, all the time over here these days.
It's swell.

How was your weekend?

  1. gage loved to hang upside down too! he had this nasty neck rash as a baby, and our pediatrician even recommended hanging him upside down like a bat for a few minutes a day. :)
